The left ear can sound different then the right, if a person pays attention they can sense which direction the communication is coming from. In the theory of medical science, at its foundation, the idea is that the brain just magically comes alive and decides “You know what? I am just going to operate totally independently of the human being and just take over their entire lives and start screaming at them in audible voices and attacking their body. Why not?”.
